Server
Servers await requests from the client and regulate access to shared resources. File servers make it possible to share files across a network by maintaining a shared library of documents, data, and images. Database servers one their processing power to executed Structured Query Language (SQL) requests from clients. Transaction servers execute a series of SQL commands, an online transaction-processing program (OLTP), as opposed to database servers, which respond to a single client command. Web servers allow clients and servers to communicate with a universal language called HTTP.
